Common questions
Why does my alarm not ring?
In the iPhone settings, check that Prudentia may send notifications and sounds and whether a Focus such as “Do Not Disturb” is active. On iPhones with iOS 26 or later the alarm rings like the iOS alarm; for that, “Alarms” must be allowed under Apps → Prudentia in the iPhone settings. On older versions the app reminds you with several notifications in a row, and with the app open it rings full screen. Settings → Alarm has “Test alarm”.
The app does not open by itself after the alarm.
iOS does not allow an alarm to open an app by itself. That is why a “Good Morning” notification waits on the lock screen shortly after the alarm. Tap it to open Prudentia and start your morning routine.
Where is my data stored?
Only on your iPhone and, if you use the automatic backup, in an app folder in your own iCloud Drive. You do not need an account for the app. “Remove all data” in the app deletes the data on the device, not the backup in iCloud; the next time you set up, the app offers to restore it.
How do I share a routine with someone?
Open the Prudentia or project and tap Share. The app creates a file ending in .ppack that you send by message, email or AirDrop. Whoever opens it first sees a preview and decides what to adopt. Notes and photos of the tasks are included; goals and your planning never.
A .ppack file does not open.
Some messengers change file names or extensions. Save the file in the Files app and open it in Prudentia via “Open package” → choose file. If the app says the file was changed or damaged, please ask for it to be sent again.
How do I work with an AI?
No connection is needed: the app creates a text that you paste into ChatGPT, Claude or another AI. Copy the AI’s answer (a code block) and open it in Prudentia under Tools → “Paste AI answer”. Before adopting it you see exactly what is new and what changes; nothing is deleted. In the evening “Good Night” also offers “Share my day with the AI”. More on the For AI page.
What does “Postpone” mean in a run?
The task drops out of the current run and stays open. For project tasks the app asks whether a planned date should stay.
Where do the public holidays come from?
The app calculates public holidays itself, for many countries and regions. Choose country and region in the app under Settings → “Birthdays & important dates”.
What are the notices under “Important dates”?
Short notes from us, for example about a new channel in the community. They only appear in that area of the home screen, never in the calendar, and you can hide them individually or switch them off completely.
Can I publish content in the community myself?
Yes, with an author account. Each account is its own channel in the app, with Prudentia, projects and events, in German and English if you like. Write to the address above or apply at Join in (German).
How do I delete all my data?
In the app under Settings → Data. If you delete the app, the data is removed from the iPhone as well. You delete a backup in your iCloud Drive in the iCloud settings.
